Creating a 'Toon Town'
In this lesson, you will begin learning more about modifiers, the mateial editor and mapping materials. You will also merge objects into a scene, use XRefs, and work with and adjust lighting.level_design
Click the link at the right and extract the level_design folder,
putting your lastname at the front.
Instructions:
- From the Help menu Tutorials, open the Modeling Level Design tutorial in the Modeling section.
- Follow the directions to create and modify the animations, through all sections of the tutorial. When the tutorial directs you to open or use a file, use the appropriate file from your saved work.
- Save each file as directed, using the names as directed, putting your lastname in the front of the filename.
- The following files need to be saved - in the level_design folder, along with all the asset files::
Lastname mybuilding.max
Lastname mygarage.max
Lastname mytoonstreet.max
Lastname mystreetlight.max
Lastname myyellowbrickroad.max
- Compress the folder with all the max and asset files.
Place a copy of your compressed level_design folder in the Computer Animation Turn-in folder.
