Creating a 'Toon Town'


In this lesson, you will begin learning more about modifiers, the mateial editor and mapping materials. You will also merge objects into a scene, use XRefs, and work with and adjust lighting.level_design

Click the link at the right and extract the level_design folder,
putting your lastname at the front.


Instructions:

  1. From the Help menu Tutorials, open the Modeling Level Design tutorial in the Modeling section.

  2. Follow the directions to create and modify the animations, through all sections of the tutorial. When the tutorial directs you to open or use a file, use the appropriate file from your saved work.

  3. Save each file as directed, using the names as directed, putting your lastname in the front of the filename.

  4. The following files need to be saved - in the level_design folder, along with all the asset files::
    Lastname mybuilding.max
    Lastname mygarage.max
    Lastname mytoonstreet.max
    Lastname mystreetlight.max
    Lastname myyellowbrickroad.max


  5. Compress the folder with all the max and asset files.

Place a copy of your compressed level_design folder in the Computer Animation Turn-in folder.
