Computer Procedures:

  • Upon entering the lab, log on to a desktop or your 1:1 computer.
  • Immediately join Room 208 in NetSupportSchool. Remain in the 'room' for the remainder of the class.
  • Work only on approved, assigned sites and activities while in computer class/seminar.
  • Failure to remain in the Room 208, or being found on incorrect sites/activities will incur the following consequences:
    • 1st infraction - log off for the remaining class period - do missing work as additional homework
    • 2nd infraction - confiscation of laptop for 1 day, or loss of desktop privileges for one additional class period
    • 3rd infraction - confiscation of laptop and referral to administration; possible confiscation/loss of priviliges for 1 week or more
    • 4th infraction - referral to administration; possible loss of computer priviliges/laptop

Additional Administrative Procedures:

  • ABSOLUTELY NO FOOD OR DRINK IS ALLOWED AROUND ANY COMPUTERS.
This includes ‘just water’ under the table or in open bags.
  • You may bring water to class, but if you want to drink it during class, it must be left on the center table, away from the computers at all times. Placing any food or drinks on the floor is not acceptable; put it completely away in your bag or on the center tables in the center of the room (if there are not open laptops being used there).
  • In the interest of safety, place backpacks, large jackets, etc., on or under the tables, completely out of the walkways. Alternately, you could put them on, under or around the tables at the center of the room.
  • Each student should bring his/her Agenda book to every class. Any student, who must leave the classroom for any reason, must first have the teacher’s permission, sign out using his/her own agenda book, and sign back in.  No Agenda, no pass. One student at a time may be out of the room.
  • After an excused absence, it is the student’s responsibility to arrange for make-up work.  You are expected to catch up within a week of returning, or make a longer term plan with Ms. Pangman if you were out for a more extended absence.
