In this Lesson, you will learn new techniques for controlling a character's movments.
- Use the link at the right to download and extract the folder containing the files needed for this tutorial.

- From the Help menu Tutorials, in the Character-Animation Tutorials folder, open the Animating with Footsteps tutorial.
- Follow the directions, and use the directed files, through all the sections to create different character movement effects.
- Creating a Simple Freeform Animation:
You will be asked to save the following files:

- Lastname_MySwimmer02.max
- Lastname_MySwimmer03.max
- Lastname_MySwimmer04.max
- Lastname_MySwimmer05.max
- Lastname_MySwimmer07.max
- Lastname_MySwimmer08.max
- Animating a Freeform Walk Cycle:
You will be asked to save the following files:
- Lastname_MyWalk01.max
- Lastname_MyWalk02.max
- Lastname_MyWalk03.max
- Lastname_MyWalk04.max
- Lastname_MyWalk05.max
- Lastname_MyWalk06.max
- Using Controllers with Biped:
You will be asked to save the following files:
- Lastname_MyStretchyleg.max
- Lastname_MyShake_and_Walk.max
- Lastname_MyCollapsed_Shaking.max
- Creating Animated Bones with Biped
You will be asked to save the following files:
- Lastname mycreatebones.fbx.
- Lastname mycreatebones.max
- When you are finished, place a copy of your freeform folder in in your Turn-in folder.
(Your folder should contain eighteen (18) files, in addition to the original files from the download.)
